Dr. Swati Yalamanchi is a board certified Hematologist/Oncologist practicing in Kentucky. She attended medical school at Ross University and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.
Dr. Yalamanchi has been an active AAPI member since residency and has enjoyed meeting fellow members at AAPI conferences and forging new friendships. In prior years she has served on the AAPI YPS Executive committee and served as Convention Chair and Secretary along with other various roles within AAPI’s organization. She is an avid traveler having traveled to all 7 continents and more than 65 countries as well as a huge University of Kentucky basketball fan!
Shefali Kothary is a practicing musculoskeletal radiologist in New York. She completed her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, after which she attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine. She went on to complete residency in radiology at Mount Sinai and fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Shefali has been an active member of AAPI since medical school. She has been involved with her local chapters as well as the national organization.
Dr. Kriti Arora born and brought up in New Delhi, India, and moved to Toronto, Canada at the age of 14. She attended University of Toronto, Canada for undergraduate degree, and received her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. She then completed her Family Medicine residency at Aultman Hospital / Northeast Ohio Medical University in Canton, Ohio – where she was also Chief Resident.
Dr. Kriti Arora is practicing as a primary care physician at a Federally Qualified Health Centre close to Toledo, OH. She is passionate about preventative health, especially in women and the underserved population. Her research in preventative women’s health during residency has won first place at the national AAFP conference. She also holds volunteer teaching positions at University of Toledo School of Medicine and Northeast Ohio Medical University.
She is a certified yoga teacher; and when she is not working, she is most likely getting on a plane to go to a fun destination. As a YPS convention chair, she is very excited to be able to coordinate and facilitate events that will bring together all hard-working medical students, residents, fellows and practicing physicians. She is always open to ideas, so feel free to reach out to her with any requests and/or suggestions for activities that you would like to see more of in the coming future.
Dr. Nikhil Rajadhyaksha is a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist practicing in Fort Myers, Florida. He graduated from Saba University School of Medicine and attended radiology residency at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Following residency, he completed a Vascular/Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital and an MRI Fellowship at Tufts University School of Medicine.
He was the past interim convention chair at YPS AAPI. As vice president, he wants to continue to facilitate events to engage younger medical professionals.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time playing the guitar, boating and traveling.

Dr. Pooja Kinkhabwala is a board certified Endocrinologist currently practicing in Indiana. She graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency from Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades in North Bergen, New Jersey and her Endocrinology Fellowship from Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida. She uses a holistic approach with her patients and focuses on preventative medicine.
She has been an active member of AAPI since 2016. She was Past President of the MSRF Section from 2017-2018 and 2019-2020. During her time on the MSRF board she has worked on growing membership via grassroots efforts in Medical Schools and Residency Programs. She has also been an active member of the Obesity Awareness Subcommittee of AAPI and has served as the Chair. She has also served as the Alternate Delegate for AAPI to the AMA.
Dr. Kinkhabwala has also been very active in Physician Well Being and Burnout Prevention. She founded a Well Being Program at her Hospital during Residency. She was the AAPI Representative of a Resident Well Being Task Force which included the ACP and ACGME and is also a part of the Physician Well Being Task Force of the American Osteopathic Association and is a co-author of the paper on Addressing Burnout through the Physician Life Cycle. She has also served as a member and Co-Author of the National Academy of Medicine’s Consensus Study on Clinician Well Being.
She currently resides in Chicago, Illinois with her dog Tommy and enjoys cooking healthy recipes, Pilates, and Chicago sports.
Dr. Anjan Prabhuswamy is a neuroradiologist in practice since 2019. He works remotely and is based out of San Diego, CA. He graduated from SUNY Buffalo school of medicine, completed residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and fellowship in diagnostic neuroradiology at UCLA.
As convention chair, Anjan’s goal is to plan events in which you expand your professional social network and leave with more friends than you arrived.
Beyond medicine, Anjan is passionate about social justice and environmentalism. In his free time he enjoys surfing, following the NBA, and is an avid traveler.
